Kiwanis meeting of November 23rd

Our guests today included Gina Cardella and Amy Costello
The agenda for todays meeting included the following items:
1.The bowling team took 5 points
2.Birthdays this week were for Dr. Grace Yackee and Jami Keegan
3.Club Anniversaries were celebrated by Rick Montcalm
4.Reports were given for the Holiday Parade and Carriage rides last weekend
5.Nancy Wain thanked all those who helped make the Stacy’s Sparkles Fundraiser a success last weekend
6.Karen Lemerand gave a report on the Kiwanis Lottery sales.Members are asked to sell tickets or let Karen know ASAP that they have some to turn back in so other members can sell them
7.Members are asked to get their monies in for their Patron ads and display ads from the Kiwanis Newsmagazine ASAP
8.With Board approval Angie Bomia has been added as an assistant to Deb Staelgraeve for financial help
9.All poinsettia orders should have been turned in by today. The orders will be in the 5th of December for members to deliver
10.Jim Jacobs has raffle tickets for the Stepping Stones raffle this weekend
11.The Monroe Center for Healthy Aging will host a Christmas Kick-Off Dinner & Show on December 2nd with Tom Jones and Nancy Sinatra impersonators. Happy Hour is 5pm–Dinner at 5:30–Show at 6:30.For more information contact Karen Lemerand at 241-0404

13.Gina Cardella asked members to help with a local family whose son has a brain disease and has several bills and need help at this time of the year.There will be a Fundraiser Spaghetti Dinner at The Links of Lake Erie on Friday December 9th from 6-9pm.If you wish to help contact Gina at  716-880-0090.
Cara Bischoff,Director of Operations at Splash Universe,was our guest speaker today.She spoke about the new management team they have in place and what some of their long range plans they have.They employee between 120-150 depending on the season and events in the area.They stay involved in the community with special projects including the Make-A-Wish Foundation.For more iformation contact Cara at 734-828-5007 or ccalkins@splashuniverse.com
